High-quality castings in the die casting process

The high dimensional accuracy is one of the biggest advantages of the die casting process. Therefore, die casting is exceptionally well suited for parts where precision is very important. Using our metal dies and cores, we produce very complex and precise products with very little post-processing effort.

Through metal casting simulation , we analyze the behavior of molten metals during the casting process. Influences of production on product design can be predicted already in the development phase and avoid expensive development loops in late project phases. In this way, we reduce costs and development time and improve output.

About us

Walter Wagener has been developing innovative product solutions in gravity die casting since 1954. Today, we are one of the few specialists who, in addition to brass and aluminum, also process the material Cuphin. We were certified to ISO 9001:2015 in 2016 and manufacture aluminum and brass castings using the gravity die casting process.

Advice

Before we start with the design and the actual production, we discuss with our customers the requirements for your product and the optimal manufacturing process for which we choose.

Concept solutions

Concept solutions from raw to finished part.

Tool making

Our own toolmaking is a great advantage for smooth production and the guarantee of absolute top products.

Core making

Due to our great competence in the core-intensive casting process, we also produce nested core packages and cores with inserts as well as molds with additional cores.

Foundry

In-house toolmaking is a great advantage for smooth production and ensuring top-notch products. Our toolmakers build high-precision tools with the knowledge of foundry professionals and keep them in perfect condition during production.

Editing

The basic prerequisite for modern manufacturing is a fleet of machinery that meets the latest technical standards. We are constantly investing in more efficient equipment, which has a positive impact on the quality of our products and the speed of our production.

Quality assurance

All products undergo strict quality control with us before they are finally shipped. From random inspection to 100 per cent, we offer comprehensive quality assurance measures.

Our products

The advantages of gravity die casting over traditional sand casting are, in particular, the high cooling rates, which give the cast workpieces a relatively fine-grained and dense structure that later permits significantly higher mechanical stresses.

In addition, gravity die casting is characterized by a relatively thin-walled and very good castability, with high dimensional accuracy in the tenths range. This means that even very complex housing structures can be easily realized.

Brass die casting

Brass is a material that has always been traditionally processed in the mould casting process. We, too, have been working with brass since the company was founded in 1954.
